SOCIAL CONCERNS MINISTRY is involved in community, regional, national and worldwide outreach. Through monies collected at the Sunday morning coffee fellowship, they are able to subsidize the purchase of gas coupons, food coupons and other supplies to the needy; they orchestrate the delivery of food shelf items brought to the church; they have sponsored immigrant families in Superior; they support regional and national disaster relief through contributions to various funds; soap and clothing drives bring contributions for Lutheran World Relief; and programs such as "Adopt-a-Family" at Christmastime encourage people to open their hearts to those in need. The PARISH NURSE MINISTRY is an outreach program of the Evangelism Ministry. Our parish nurses are involved in assisting members of the congregation maintain healthy lifestyles through program offerings, blood pressure checks, and health advice and referrals. Involvement in church functions, Bible studies, and various women's The ALTAR GUILD works tirelessly to keep the chancel, sanctuary and the chapel beautiful and clean. They are responsible for vesting the church in the liturgical color of the season, for preparing the Holy Communion table, caring for and storing the sacred objects of the congregation, and preparing the church for baptisms, weddings and funerals. The YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY keeps the young people and families of our church involved in fellowship and outreach through planned activities throughout the year. Groups have been to Valley Fair, to swim parks, on hayrides, planned pig roasts, pumpkin carving events, among others. The Sr. Hi Youth Group gathers on Wednesday evenings, and representatives attend the Sr. Hi Synod Youth Gathering - "Godstock" - in the fall of the year. Our Jr. Hi Youth attend the Synod Middle School Youth Gathering in the spring. Attendance at Luther Point Bible Camp is encouraged. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON
