What's New?

"The Year of the Bible"

Would you like to read through the Bible in one year? Do you think that doing this would be good for your faith? This coming February we as a congregation are going to embark on the task of reading through the Bible in one year. Are you interested? Here is some of what might happen if you participate:

You will grow in your basic Biblical knowledge.

You will get a broad, overall picture of the Bible and its themes.

You will have greater awareness of the central place Scripture has in our lives as Christians.

Are you interested in doing this? Each person who is a part of the program does the readings on their own time and at their own pace. There are no classes, questions, or tests. No one checks on you to see how you are doing. You simply participate as best you can.

You may purchase a participant’s book with suggested readings for each month and some discussion on the themes you encounter in those readings. It might take you 20 minutes per day. The books cost all of $3.  What might happen to you if you spent a part of each day of the new year in the Bible? Certainly couldn’t hurt. If you have any questions, please talk to Pastor Charlie.

The 2012 Concordia Lutheran Church Cookbook
(In celebration of our 125th Anniversary!)

We want your favorite recipes!
Recipes are due in the church office by February 14 (Valentine’s Day) so that we can meet our deadline. We hope to have the cookbooks ready for purchase by Mother’s Day!

We’re looking for: appetizers & beverages, soups & salads, vegetables & side dishes, main dishes, breads & rolls, desserts, cookies & candy, and "this & that." Recipes from the guys are welcome and encouraged! Scandinavian recipes also wanted!

On Sunday, February 12, the CLCW will celebrate our 2nd Annual Memory Lane Event in Fellowship Hall. Please bring a photo of a loved one and memory or two to share with others at your table. This is a special time to recognize our loved ones past and present.
